February 9, 2006 Bangkok, Thailand Avalon Technologies announced today it has successfully launched a construction e-procurement application for Bouygues-Thai, a Thai subsidiary of the French multi-national company Bouygues Construction (www.bouygues.com). The e-procurement application automates and streamlines the procurement process for all of Bouygues-Thai's construction operations in Thailand. The custom web application was designed and implemented by Avalon's web services team using XML on Microsoft's .NET development platform.

"Avalon has developed a high level of expertise in re-engineering and automating business process for many international clients through the use of web services technologies. For Bouygues, we assessed their business needs through a lengthy requirements analysis phase and came up with a web-based solution which we felt would provide greater operational efficiencies and productivity in the management of their procurement process," said Rohit Sachdev, Senior Partner of Avalon Technologies.

Jean-Marie Verbrugghe, Managing Director of Bouygues-Thai, mentioned his appreciation of the work produced by Avalon Technologies. "When Bouygues-Thai had decided to develop an electronic procurement system, we looked at several companies proposals. Avalon came with the appropriate approach understanding of our requirements and needs in implementing tailored made solutions. During this process Avalon has always demonstrated very high managerial skills and high end expertise in IT technology."

As a result of the success of this project, Avalon's web services team is in the process of developing to an e-procurement product suite which it will be marketing to manufacturing, construction and other companies who wish to automate their purchasing process globally over the next 12 months. "We expect to be working with many companies in the next 12 months and integrating their enterprise applications with our paperless e-procurement product," said Rohit Sachdev "This application will merge both buyer and supplier managed catalogs into a seamless integrated environment for more efficient and coordinated purchasing."
